Update Profile

The Update Profile page allows you to view and/or update your registration information, including your password, PIN, and hint questions. For added protection of this information, you must provide your password to access this page, even though you have already signed on to the system.

Note:  If you have three unsuccessful attempts to access this page (invalid password), the system will log out your account. If this occurs, contact your campus administrator to have your account reset.

To exit the Update Profile function without saving any changes, click Home or any other menu item to go to another page.

To update your profile:

From the Settings menu, select Update Profile. The Update Profile Step 1 page will be displayed.

Step 1:

  1. In the Password field, type your password.

  2. Click Next.

  3. If you typed an invalid password, the system will notify you that the password entered does not match the records. You must provide the correct password before you can continue.

  4. If you have entered your password correctly, the Update Profile Step 2 page will be displayed.

Step 2:

  1. In the New Password field, type a new password.

  2. The new password must be six to nine alphanumeric characters.

  3. Three out of every four characters must be one of the following: uppercase, lowercase, numeric, or punctuation.

  4. Your password is case-sensitive.

  1. In the Confirm Password field, retype your new password exactly as you typed it above.

  2. If you wish to update your PIN, type a new four-digit number in the New PIN field. It is recommended that you do not choose 1234 or 4321, as these are common and easily guessed.

  3. If you wish to provide your telephone number to parents in the parent access Web site, txConnect, enter the number in the Phone Number field in the AAA-NNNNNNN format. If you leave this field blank, your phone number will not be provided in txConnect.

  4. If you wish to provide additional notes to parents, such as conference period availability, enter the notes in the Notes field. If entered, these comments will be viewable by parents in txConnect.

  5. In the Combine courses in attendance field, indicate if you wish to combine classes for attendance reporting. The field is selected by default. If you do not wish to combine courses for attendance reporting (e.g., pre-kindergarten courses that meet morning and afternoon), then clear the field.

  6. If you wish to update your hint questions, select the Update Hint Questions field. These will be updated on the next page when you click Next.

  7. Click Next.

  8. If you have entered any data incorrectly, a red asterisk will appear to the right of each field that has incorrect data. You must provide that information before you can continue.

  9. If you leave a field blank, the field will not be updated.

  10. If you have entered all required data correctly, and if you selected the Update Hint Questions field, the Update Profile Step 3 page will be displayed.

  11. If you have entered all required data correctly, and if you did not select the Update Hint Questions field, the Update Profile Success page will be displayed. To finish the Update Profile function, click Finish. You will be redirected to the Announcements page.

Step 3:

If you selected the Update Hint Questions field, then the Update Profile Step 3 page allows you to update your answers to the hint questions.

  1. In the Question 1 field, click to select one of the hint questions.

  2. In the Answer 1 field, type the answer to the question you selected.

  3. Repeat this process for Question 2 and Question 3.

Note:  You must select three different questions. You may not repeat any questions/answers on this page.

  1. To save your changes and proceed to the final step, click Next.

  2. If you have entered all required data correctly, the Success message will be displayed.

  3. If you have entered any data incorrectly, a red asterisk will appear to the right of each field that has incorrect data. You must provide that information before you can continue.

  4. If you leave a field blank, the field will not be updated.

  5. To finish the Update Profile function, click Finish. You will be redirected to the Announcements page.
